CHOCOLATE CHIP SQUARES WITH HOT CHOC SAUCE

Ingredients:


6 ounces butter -- softened

6 ounces caster sugar

3 medium eggs -- beaten

6 ounces self-rising flour

5 ounces white chocolate -- chopped

---WHITE CHOCOLATE SAUCE

1/2 pint double cream

8 ounces white chocolate
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat the oven to 375°F. cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, adding a little flour if the mixture starts to curdle. Fold in the remaining flour and the chopped white chocolate. Spoon the mixture into a greased and lined 7in square cake tin. Bake the cake for 40-45 mins ot until well risen and just beginnning to shrink from the sides. WHITE CHOCOLATE SAUCE To make the sauce, heat the cream until it begins to bubble. Put the white chocolate into a bowl and pour the hot cream over the chocolate. Stir the mixture until the chocolate has melted. Serve the cake cut into squares with hot chocolate sauce.
