Ingredients:


1/2 pound chickpea flour (Besan)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon red chile powder

1 teaspoon coriander seeds -- powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 medium egg -- beaten

1 medium onion -- chopped fine

1 large potato - cut into 1/4 inch cubes

3 Cup oil for deep frying

1 Cup water -- to make paste

---optional ingredients:

1 bunch spinach

1 medium eggplant

1 medium cabbage

2 medium fresh chiles
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and add enough water to make a paste. Mix well. Take spoonful at a time from the bowl of paste and deep fry it in hot oil until golden brown.
