Crock Pot Lentil Curry

Ingredients:


2 cups dried lentils

1 cup masoor dal

4 medium red potatoes -- washed and chopped

1/2 cup pearl barley

2 medium Onions chopped

4 cloves garlic -- minced

2 cups green cabbage -- chopped

2 cups oriental broth-swansons canned -- is great

4 cups water

2 tablespoons curry powder

1 teaspoon five-spice powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons soy sauce

4 cups cooked rice
 

Preparation / Directions:


Put all ingredients into the crock pot. Stir well to mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours. Serve with the rice -- I like basmati rice -- and mango chutney.
