Fenugreek Yogurt Stew (Menthi Majjiga)

Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups yogurt -- (1 day sour)

1 dash turmeric

1 bunch stem coriander leaves

1 tablespoon oil

1/2 teaspoon black mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon peeled black gram dal

1 dash asafetida

2 medium green chiles

1/2 medium red chile

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Beat yogurt. 2. Chop green chiles finely. Pluck coriander. Add salt and turmeric to the yogurt. 3. Fry mustard, cumin seeds. black gram dal, asafetida and red chile. Season.
