Peppered Meat Loaf

Ingredients:


2 pounds ground chuck

1/2 pound bulk sausage

1 large onion -- finely chopped

3 cloves garlic -- minced

8 ounces tomato sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

3/4 cup crushed saltine crackers

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper

1 large potato -- (or 2)peeled, cut into fingers

---SAUCE---

1 cup ketchup

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine all ingredients except potatoes and sauce; mix well and shape into a loaf. Place potatoes in bottom of Crock-Pot. Top potatoes with meat loaf. Mix sauce ingredients together well. Pour sauce over all. Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 12 hours.
