Stewed Fruits

Ingredients:

1 pound prunes -- pitted
8 ounces dried apricots
8 ounces dried pears
3 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 piece vanilla bean
2 pieces lemon zest strips -- 2 inch each
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
 

Preparation / Directions:

Combine all ingredients together in the crock pot and cook on low until the fruit is tender, 6 to 8 hours. Serve warm or at room temperature.
