Nutty Thumbprints with a Kiss |

| This cookie is a simple and really quick to make. You don't have to put a kiss in the middle. Jelly, brown sugar, or anything sweet to contrast with the nutty buttery flavor. |

Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour |
1/4 cup light brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter (softened) |
1 large egg yolk |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract |
1 cup crushed nuts (pecans or walnuts work best) |

Preparation / Directions:
1. Set oven to 350. 2. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together. 3. Take about a spoonful of the dough (it's soft and buttery) and roll it into a ball. 4. Take the ball of dough and roll it in the nuts. 5. Place the ball on a cookie sheet and press a thumb print into the ball. 6. Proceed to do this with the rest of the dough until you're done. 7.
