Ingredients:


6 pounds spareribs

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup lemon or lime juice -- (or combination)

1/4 cup rice vinegar

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

2 cloves garlic

2 teaspoons cornstarch

1/2 cup liquid honey
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a large pot, cover ribs with water; simmer, covered, for about 1 hour or just until tender. Drain and arrange in shallow pan. Mix together remaining ingredients, except honey; stir until cornstarch is dissolved. Pour over ribs; marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Remove ribs, reserving marinade. Cook ribs on grill over medium-hot coals or on medium setting for 10 minutes, turning once and brushing often with marinade. add honey to remaining marinade and brush over ribs; cook turning once or twice and brushing with honey mixture, for about 10 minutes or until richly glazed. Cut ribs into serving size pieces or one or two ribs each.
