Chicken In The Pot

Ingredients:


4 pounds chicken -- cut up

1 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup dry white wine -- cooking wine

1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon basil

6 medium carrots -- diced

2 stalks celery -- sliced

1 medium Onion -- sliced

2 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons butter
 

Preparation / Directions:


Place the chicken in the crock pot, alternating layers with the vegtables. Mix the seasonings with the liquids and pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Remove the chicken and vegetables to a serving platter. Thicken the gravy with 2 T of flour mixed with 2 T of butter. Cook this on high until the gravy is thickened. Serve over the chi cken or on the side.
