Hazel's Curried Chicken

Ingredients:


2 pounds chicken thighs or legs or breasts -- up to 3

2 medium Onions - sliced

1 clove garlic -- (optional)

1 tablespoons grate 1 tbs ginger

4 stalks fresh thyme -- snipped, up to 5

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon seasoned salt -- to taste

1 teaspoon black pepper -- to taste

6 tablespoons curry powder -Jamaican

1 teaspoon Mrs Dash -- to taste

1 teaspoon Lemon Pepper

1/2 medium scotch bonnet haberno pepper -- cut in small pieces
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix the meat with all the above ingredients except the thyme in a large pot to coat. Ensure the meat is thoroughly mixed and covered. Place the mixture in the crock pot, add the snipped thyme. Cook on high 1 hour, reduce to low and cook for 5-6 hours or until tender and juices run clear.
