Baked Pork Chops And Rice

Ingredients:


8 chops pork chops -- center cut

1 teaspoon salt and pepper -- to taste

2 tablespoons salad oil

1 1/2 cups long-grain rice

1 can mushrooms

1 can beef consomme

1 1/2 cans water -- soup cans

1 medium green pepper -- sliced

1 medium Onion -- sliced

1 medium tomato -- sliced
 

Preparation / Directions:


Season meat, saute in oil until well browned. Combine rice, mushrooms, consumme and water; place in a lightly greased casserole dish. Arrange chops on top. Place a slice of pepper, onion and tomato on top of each chop. Cover tightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
