Ingredients:


2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup milk

1/4 cup shortening

1/4 cup butter or margarine

3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

6 large egg whites
 

Preparation / Directions:


Makes one cake Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 12 cup bundt pan. Combine all ingredients except egg whites in large mixing bowl. Beat at low speed until blended. Beat at high speed 1 1/2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently. Add egg whites and continue beating 1 1/2 minutes, scrapin bowl frequently. Pour batter into pan. Bake 45 to 55 minutes, or until top springs back when lightly touched. Cool 20 minutes upright in pan on a baking rack before removing. Glaze cake with 1/2 cup orange marmalade that has been heated to pouring consistency.
