Ingredients:


2/3 cup Margarine or butter

5 Ounces unsweetened chocolate -- Cut into pieces

1 3/4 cups Sugar

2 teaspoons Vanilla

3 large Eggs

1 cup All-purpose flour*

1 cup Chopped walnuts
 

Preparation / Directions:


*do not use self-rising flour In this recipe. Brownies were originally called Bangor Brownies because they were originall Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease square pan, 9 X 9 X 2 inches. He margarine and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted cool slightly. Beat sugar, vanilla and eggs on high speed 5 minutes. Beat in chocolate mixture on low speed. Beat in flour just until b Stir in nuts. Spread in pan.Bake 40 to 45 minutes or just until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan; cool. Cut into 2-inch squares.
