Brunch Layered Casserole

Ingredients:


1 slice day-old bread -- cubed

1 pound browned sausage -- or 2 c. cubed ham

1/4 cup minced onion -- (optional)

8 ounces cheddar cheese -- grated

2 cups milk

6 large eggs -- beaten

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 can cream of mushroom soup
 

Preparation / Directions:


In oblong baking dish (greased), layer: Bread cubes, meat, cheese. Beat dry mustard into eggs and pour over cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Mix soup and milk and pour over in the a.m. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
