Refrigerator Rolls

Ingredients:


3/4 cup shortening

1 cup boiling water -- (or scalded milk)

2 large eggs -- beaten

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup cold water

2 teaspoons salt

2 pieces cakes yeast

1/2 cup lukewarm water

7 1/2 cups sifted flour
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine shortening and boning water or scalded milk; stir until shortening is melted. Combine eggs, sugar and salt; beat in cold water. Soften yeast in lukewarin water. Combine the 3 mixtures and add flour. Cover; chill overnight in refrigerator. Shape; let rise; bake as for standard rolls at 350F to 375F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Makes 35 dinner rolls. Also makes delicious hamburger rolls.
