French Bread 3

Ingredients:


1 small and large sizes

1 1/2 cups unbleached bread flour -- (2-1/4 c)

1/3 cup whole wheat flour -- (1 c.)

1 teaspoon dry yeast -- (2-1/4 tsp.)

1 teaspoon sugar -- (1 T)

3/4 teaspoon salt -- (1-1/4 tsp.)

1 teaspoon oil -- (1 T)

3/4 cup warm water -- (1 cup)

1 large egg white -- (2)
 

Preparation / Directions:


White the egg whites until stiff, set aside. In order listed, place the first seven ingred. in pan. Select French bread setting push start. Once ingred are moist, spoon in the egg white. After second mixing, brush loaf w/melted margarine for a crustier crust. All ingred may also be mixed at once for added convenience.
