Cheddar And Chive Bread -1 Pound Loaf

Ingredients:

1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoons crisco oil
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Monterey jack cheese -- (or use all cheddar)
2 large eggs
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons powdered milk
1/2 tablespoon fresh or dried chives
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash basil
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
 

Preparation / Directions:

Put all ingredients in pan, in order listed, or in reverse order if your machine calls for dried ingredients first. Select basic wheat, light setting or bread program, or equivalent for your machine. Push start. Note: This makes a great loaf of bread and is excellent toasted. If you don't want to add dried onions, add all chives. I added the basil for extra flavo
