1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons sugar

3/4 cup heavy cream -- (3/4 to 1)

1/4 cup seville orange marmalade

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons sugar

3/4 cup heavy cream -- (3/4 to 1)

Preparation / Directions:

Make Basic Cream Biscuits as recipe directs, stirring orange marmalade into heavy cream before adding it to the dry ingredients. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease or spray a baking sheet. Stir flour, salt, baking powder and sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in heavy cream with a fork until a soft dough is formed. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured board and knead until soft and blended. Pat or roll into a 1/2 to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut into 2-inch rounds and transfer to baking sheet. Alternatively, the dough may be dropped by heaping tablespoons 3-inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Note: For crusty biscuits, place them about an inch or two apart on the baking sheet. For softer biscuits, place them close together. Bake as directed. Serve warm. Makes: servings12 biscuits
