Ingredients:

2 slices white bread flour
1/4 cup milk
1 3/4 pounds lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup bread crumbs
 

Preparation / Directions:

Remove the crusts from the bread and soak bread in the milk until soft.=20 Squeeze out excess milk, then lightly mix the moist bread with the ground=20 beef until thoroughly absorbed. Add the seasonings and shape into a large=20 round, about 1 inch thick. Preheat the broiler. Place meat on an oiled=20 broiler rack and cook 4 inches from heat on one side for 5 minutes, then tur= n=20 and sprinkle the bacon and the bread crumbs over the top and broil another 4=20 to 5 minutes for medium-rare; add another minute on each side for better don= e.
