Preparation / Directions:Partially fry up the bacon and reserve 2 Tbs. of the drippings and sauté the chopped onion and green pepper.
Add the rest of the ingredients to a large pot and mix well, being careful not to smash the beans.
Cover the pot and simmer slowly for approximately one hour, stirring occasionally.
