1 1/2 cups lukewarm water

1 package yeast or 1 tbsp. bulk yeast

1 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoon salt

4 cups flour

1/2 cup finely chopped onions

2 teaspoon dried rosemary

Preparation / Directions:

Put lukewarm water in a large bowl and dissolve yeast in it. Add sugar and salt; add flour a cup at a time. After 2 cups of flour, add onions and proceed to add the final 2 cups of flour. Knead mixture until smooth, forming dough into a ball. Oil a large bowl and put the dough in; cover bowl for about 1 hour or until dough has risen to twice its original size. Be sure to oil the top of dough. Punch dough down, knead and flatten the dough onto a oiled cookie sheet. Oil the top of the dough. Cover for 1 hour or until dough has risen to twice its size. Sprinkle salt and rosemary over the dough and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Cut bread into squares and serve hot with butter.
