Crostini With Shrimp Spread

Ingredients:

  1              pound  cream cheese
     1/8         pound  bay shrimp
     1/2      teaspoon  onion powder
  1           teaspoon  garlic powder
     1/4      teaspoon  jane's salt
  3          teaspoons  parsley
  3             pounds  butter
  2               cups  olive oil
     1/4           cup  garlic
  3                     baguette
 

Preparation:

combine cream cheese, bay shrimp (reserve a small amount for garnish), onion powder, garlic powder, and jane's salt in a food processor process to a smooth puree add parsley and pulse just to mix lightly cover and chill for 4-96 hours heat one-fourth of butter and all of olive oil in a saute pan, over a medium-low flame add garlic; heat and stir for 4-5 minutes, until well softened and fragrant without coloring add remaining butter; heat until melted remove from heat brush butter/garlic mixture onto both sides of baguette slices arrange onto a shallow baking sheet bake @ 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes, until crisp and golden remove from oven and allow to cool blot briefly with paper towels serve spread slightly chilled with crostini to the si
