Joan's Hot Buttered Rum Concentrate

Ingredients:

   1      pound         unsalted butter -- softened
   1      pound         light brown sugar
   1      pound         confectioners' sugar
   1      tablespoon    freshly grated nutmeg
   2      tablespoons   ground cinnamon
   1      quart         good quality vanilla ice cream
 

Preparation:

In a large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter, sugars, nutmeg and cinnamon until light and fluffy. Add ice cream and whip until thoroughly blended. Pack into small containers and freeze. Give with instructions to mix 1 tablespoon frozen concentrate with 1 jigger rum in a heated mug before filling with boiling water.
