Preparation:
Melt butter or margarine and 1/2 cup chocolate pieces in a large saucepan
over
low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in coffee crystals; cool 5 minutes. Stir in
granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
Stir in coffee mixture. Stir in 1 cup chocolate pieces.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie
sheet. Bake in a 350~F. oven for 10 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute on cookie
sheet. Transfer to wire racks and cool completely. |
