Broccoli With Cashews and Chili

Ingredients:

 1        tablespoon    oil
 2        cloves        garlic cloves, chopped or minced
 1        teaspoon      crushed roasted Thai chilies
 1        cup           fresh broccoli florets
 6        tablespoons   chicken broth 
(or a bullion cube dissolved in a cup of water for broth)
 1        tablespoon    fish sauce
 1        tablespoon    soy sauce
 1        tablespoon    sugar
   1/3    cup           cashew nuts
 3-6      medium        fresh Thai chilies 
 

Preparation:

1. Chop fresh Thai chilies in half and crush each half with the flat of a large knife blade, set to the side.

2. Heat oil in wok or frying pan. Add garlic and fry until golden brown.

3. Add crushed red chili peppers and cashew nuts and stir-fry 2 - 3 minutes.

4. Stir in chicken broth, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar and simmer 1 - 2 minutes. Add broccoli and red chilies and simmer 1 - 2 minutes longer..

Serving Ideas : Serve over rice.
