Hot Sausage-Bean Dip

Ingredients:

     1/2  pound         Tennessee pride country sausage
   1      16 oz can     pork and beans in tomato sauce
   2      ounces        sharp process American cheese -- shredded
   2      tablespoons   ketchup
     1/2  teaspoon      prepared mustard
   2      drops         Tabasco sauce, or more
                        -- to taste
 

Preparation:

Cook sausage in a skillet until it loses its pink color; stir to break up sausage and drain off fat. In a blender combine sausage with beans, shredded cheese, ketchup, mustard and Tabasco; blend until smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides. Return to skillet. Heat. Serve with corn chips or assorted crackers. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
