Classic Spinach Dip

Ingredients:

   1                    round loaf French bread
   1      package       frozen chopped spinach -- , thawed
   1      cup           mayonnaise
   1 1/2  cups          sour cream
   1      envelope      Knorr dry vegetable soup mix
   1      can           water chestnuts -- , finely chopped
   3      whole         green onions -- , finely chopped
 

Preparation:

Squeeze spinach until dry. Stir together spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, water chestnuts and green onions. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Cut top from French bread and remove bread from inside to make a bowl for the dip. Use removed bread, cubed, for dippers or use crisp vegetables or crackers.
