Ingredients:

   1      cup           ketchup
     1/2  cup           cider vinegar
   1      tablespoon    yellow mustard
   3      tablespoons   lemon juice
   1      tablespoon    Worcestershire sauce
   2      teaspoons     soy sauce
     1/2  cup           to 2/3 bourbon
   1      tablespoon    garlic powder
     1/2  teaspoon      dry mustard
     1/4  cup           honey or sugar
   1      tablespoon    lemon pepper
   1      teaspoon      cayenne pepper
   1      teaspoon      salt
   1      teaspoon      msg -- (optional)
   1      teaspoon      mrs. dash salt-free seasoning
   1      teaspoon      cumin -- ground
 

Preparation:

In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, vinegar, honey, mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce . Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. In a small bowl or glass jar with a lid, combine the lemon pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, MSG, Mrs. Dash, cumin and dry mustard. Stir or shake to blend. Add a third of the dry ingredients to the sauce in the pan and stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add another third of the dry ingredients and stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add the remaining third and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the bourbon and stir well. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 1 hour until the flavors blend and the sauce is thickened. Use immediately or allow to sit in refrigerator for 24 hours before use.
