Bhindi Ki Sabji (curried Okra)

Ingredients:

   1      pound         okra -- cut 1" pieces
   2      medium        onion -- minced
   4      tablespoons   vegetable oil
     1/4  teaspoon      cumin seeds
     1/4  teaspoon      turmeric
     1/3  teaspoon      ground red pepper
   2      teaspoons     ground coriander
     1/2  teaspoon      graram masala
                        salt -- to taste
 

Preparation:

Wash and cut okra. Heat 4 tablespoons salad oil and fry cumin seeds a second, add onions and cook for 10 minutes, until light brown. Add okra, turmeric, red pepper, coriander and salt. Mix. Cover and cook over medium for 10 minutes. Add garam masala and cook covered for another 10 minutes.
