Broiled Lamb Chops With Herbs

Ingredients:

  8                     loin or rib lamb chops -- trimmed of fat,
                        -- about 2 2/3 pounds
  2             cloves  garlic -- cut in half
  1         tablespoon  olive oil
  2          teaspoons  dried marjoram -- thyme or tarragon,
                        -- crumbled
     1/4      teaspoon  black pepper
                        lemon wedges -- optional
 

Preparation:

Heat the broiler. Rub the lambchops all over with the cut galic. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with margoram and pepper. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium cooked lamb. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
