Fish Chowder - Smiths

Ingredients:

  1                     onion
  1                     carrot
  2             stalks  celery
     1/4           cup  oil
  2               cups  clam juice
  2               cups  water
  1                can  italian tomatoes -- 2 pound
  2               cups  thin noodles
     1/2      teaspoon  oregano
     1/2      teaspoon  italian seasoning
     1/2      teaspoon  garlic powder
                        salt and pepper -- to taste
  2             pounds  fish fillets -- or steaks
                        grated parmesan cheese
 

Preparation:

Chop vegetalbes and saute in fat in 6 quart pot. Add clam juice, water, tomatoes, noodles and seasonings. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes. Cut fish in bite size pieces; add to soup. Simmer about 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily. Serve with grated cheese. 6 servings.
