Quick Mango Pickle (Avakkai)

Ingredients:

   1      medium        raw -- hard, fleshy and
                        -- sour mango
  12      tablespoons   oil
   2      tablespoons   mustard powder
   2      tablespoons   chile powder
     1/2  clove         garlic -- peeled
   1      pinch         turmeric
 

Preparation:

1. Clean the mango. Dry well. Chop into small pieces. 2. Heat the oil slightly and cool. 3. Take a dry vessel. Mix the mustard powder, chile powder, salt and turmeric. Add oil and mix well. 4. Add mango and garlic. Mix again. 5. Bottle for 6 days.
