Italian Hoagie Dip

Ingredients:

   1/4    pound         Proscuitto-Cotto, (or cooked ham) thinly sliced
   1/4    pound         Genoa salami, thinly sliced 
   1/4    pound         American cheese, (or provolone) sliced 
 1        cups          mayonnaise 
 1        teaspoons     dried oregano
 1        medium        onion, chopped fine
   1/4    head          iceberg lettuce, shredded
 1        large         tomato, diced small 
 6                      hoagie rolls, torn into pieces for dipping
 

Preparation:

Shred the ham, salami and American cheese into small pieces. Place in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, blend the mayonnaise and oregano. Mix the mayonnaise mixture into the ham mixture 1/2 cup at a time, until meats and cheese are well coated. Mix in the onion. Before serving, mix in the lettuce and tomatoes. Place In fridge till chilled Serve with the hoagie roll pieces for dipping. Serves 8 (you can double this recipe if serving at a gathering)
