Garlic Chicken

Garlic not overwhelming - the chicken just falls apart. Very simple recipe; put it on before you go to work! Make a gravy with a little of the juices in the crock pot by first making a roux.
 

Ingredients:

1                       Fryer Chicken
1          stick (1/4 cup) butter
1/2 to 2/3 cup          chicken broth 
3-6                     garlic cloves (3-6 tsp), skinned and chopped
                        Carrots - peeled, cut or left whole (optional)
 

Preparation:

Clean chicken well, removing any gizzards. Add all ingredients into crockpot, cooking anywhere from 6 hours on. The longer the chicken is cooked, the more it tends to fall right off of the bones. Carrots add a good flavor and color. For a gravy, use a bit of the juice in the slow cooker and heat in a pan, whisking in flour.
