Preparation:

Because cats' digestive system is designed to eat "whole prey" it is good to serve your cat not only "muscle" meat but also organ meat in about the ratio it would be found in a live animal (5:1). If your cat balks at this new diet try adding a little "Bribe Food" such as sardines, anchovies, Earth's best chicken or turkey baby food, canned mackerel, tuna or salmon or cooked chicken or turkey. Be sure the vegetables are grated very finely. (In case you are interested in 'why vegetables' a cat in the wild will also eat the contents of the small animal's stomach.) The grains should be well cooked to a gruel-like consistency in either water or lo-cal, lo-salt chicken or other broth. Despite human antithesis to cod liver oil cats rather like it. You may need to get the last two ingredients from a good vet. Mix recipe together and serve. Store in the refrigerator. You can also put single portions in a spare ice cube tray and make individual servings. Thaw befor
