Ingredients:

  6        tablespoons  butter or margarine -- melted
  4               cups  vanilla wafer crumbs
     3/4           cup  halved candied green cherries
  314             cups  halved candied red cherries
     1/2           cup  chopped candied pineapple
  314             cups  chopped dates
  1                cup  pecan halves
  1                can  sweetened condensed milk -- (14 ounces)
  1           teaspoon  vanilla extract
 

Preparation:

Pour melted butter in a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with vanilla wafer crumbs. Arrange cherries, pineapple, dates and pecans evenly over the crumbs; press down gently. Combine milk and vanilla: pour over fruit. Bake at 3500 for 20-25 minutes.
