Green Bean and Bacon Casserole

Ingredients:

   1      pound         Bacon cooked -- cooked and crumbled
   1      pound         mushrooms -- cleaned and sliced
   1      pound         fresh green beans  (1 to 2 pounds) -- OR
                        canned French cut green beans
   4      tablespoons   butter or margarine
   1                    onion -- chopped
 

Preparation:

Reserve grease from bacon. In skillet sauté onions in 2 tablespoons butter until tender, set aside. Then using remaining butter sauté mushrooms until tender. Add all ingredients to the mushrooms as well as the reserved bacon grease. Cover, cook until thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally. Takes about 15 to 25 minutes to cook beans and ingredients through.
