Preparation:
Use a 2-quart casserole for 6 servings, and a 1-quart casserole for 1 and 3 servings.
6 servings cooking on high: 10-14 minutes 3 servings cooking on high: 8-10 minutes 1 serving cooking on high: 4-6 minutes
Wash, trim and pare rutabaga. Cut into cubes. In a casserole of proper size, combine rutabaga and water. Cover. Microwave at full power (high) as directed above or until tender, stirring once. Let stand, covered, 2 minutes. Drain.
Variation: Microwave peeled and cubed sweet potatoes separately. Mix together. Season and serve. |
