Preparation:
Heat oil in Dutch oven, brown chicken on all sides. Mix together the soy sauce, sugar, water, catsup, sherry, pepper, garlic and onion. Pour over chicken, cover and simmer 35 to 45 minutes or until done. Remove chicken to platter. Skim fat from sauce. Blend cornstarch and tablespoon water and add to sauce. Cook and stir until thickened. Spoon sauce over chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds. |
