CHICKEN CROISSANT BAKE

Ingredients:

   4      large         Croissants -- cut into 1/2-inc
          or            
   4      cups          1/2-inch cubes french bread
   1      cup           Shredded jarlsberg -- swiss or
                        cheese (4 ounces
   1 1/2  cups          Diced cooked chicken
   2                    Green onions (with tops) -- sl
   1 1/2  cups          Milk
   3                    Eggs
     1/2  teaspoon      Dry mustard
     1/2  teaspoon      Salt
 

Preparation:

Arrange half of the croissant cubes in ungreased square baking dish, 8 X 8 X 2 inches. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the cheese, the chicken and onions. Arrange remaining cubes over top. Beat milk, eggs, mustard and salt. Pour over cubes. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.Heat oven to 325 degrees. Bake uncovered 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake about 2 minutes longer or until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
