Ingredients:

   8                    chicken legs
   2      pounds        beef
   2      quarts        water
   1      tablespoon    salt
   1 1/2  c             -- cubed potatoes
   1      cup           turnips
   1      cup           chopped onion
     1/2  cup           celery
   1      tablespoon    worcestershire sauce
     1/2  teaspoon      thyme leaves
     1/2  teaspoon      pepper
     1/8  teaspoon      cayenne pepper
   3 1/2  cups          tomatoes
   2      cups          shredded cabbage
   2                    whole         cloves
     2/3  cup           chopped green pepper
     1/2  cup           parsley
   2      cups          cubed carrots
   1      package       succotash
 

Preparation:

Cook chicken and beef in water with salt added. Simmer un- dl tender. Remove meat from broth and cool, then discard bones. Cut meat into bite-size pieces. Return beef and chicken to broth. Add remaining ingredients; simmer 35 to 40 mInutes or until vegetables are done.
