Ingredients:

  1                Cup  instant potato
  3 1/2           Tsp.  b.pwd
  2                     Tlb.butter
  1 1/4           Tsp.  b.soda
     1/2           Cup  boiling water
  1               Tsp.  salt
  1                     egg
     1/4          Tsp.  nutmeg
  1                Cup  sour cream
     1/4          Tsp.  cinnamon
     1/2           Cup  sugar
  1               Tsp.  vanilla
  2 1/4           Cups  flour
 

Preparation:

Combine potatoes, butter and boiling water in large mixer bowl, add rest of ingredients except flour. Blend in 1 1/2 cup flour. Stir in remaining flour by hand. Knead dough about five times on floured board. Pat out about 1/2 inch thick and cut with donut cutter. Fry in deep fat 400* about 30 seconds on each side. Drain on paper towels. Frost or roll in cinnamon sugar. makes 2 dozen
