Cheddar Nut Bread with Pecans

Ingredients:

   3 3/4  cups          biscuit mix
   1 1/2  cups          shredded sharp Cheddar cheese -- (6 oz.)
     1/4  teaspoon      salt
   1                    egg -- slightly beaten
   1      cup           evaporated milk
     1/2  cup           water
     1/2  cup           chopped pecans
 

Preparation:

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside. Combine egg, milk, and water; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Stir in pecans. Spoon batter into a lightly greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loafpan. Bake at 350 F for 55 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes.
