Cracked-Wheat Bread

Ingredients:

     1/3  cup           Cracked wheat
     3/4  cup           Milk -- (Welbilt/Dak add 2

   2 1/4  cups          Bread flour
     3/4  cup           Whole wheat flour
   1 1/2  teaspoons     Salt
   2      tablespoons   Butter or margarine
   1 1/2  tablespoons   Honey
   1 1/2  tablespoons   Molasses
   2      teaspoons     Red Star brand dry yeast -- 1-1/2 lb

   3      teaspoons     yeast
 

Preparation:

In a small saucepan, heat the water to boiling; add cracked wheat. Cook on medium-high heat for approximately 6 minutes until all the water is absorbed; stir occasionally with a wooden spoon; remove pan from heat; allow cracked wheat to cool to room temperature. Place all ingredients including cooled cracked wheat in bread pan and press start. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing. CRUST: Regular (Some machines may require you to chose Bread color: regular or Adjust temperature sensor to medium) MENU SELECTION : Bake (Some machines may require you to select Menu: bread or Select: White Bread.
