Sweet And Sour Short Ribs

Ingredients:

   1      cup           ketchup
   1      cup           water
   1      tablespoon    sugar
   1      tablespoon    prepared-horse-radish
   1                    Bay leaf
   1      teaspoon      dry mustard
   1      tablespoon    vinegar
   1      teaspoon      salt
     1/4  teaspoon      pepper
   2      medium        onions -- sliced
   1      tablespoon    Worcestershire sauce
   3      pounds        short ribs -- cut in serving size
                         -- pieces
                        Flour
   3      tablespoons   oil for browning
 

Preparation:

Combine the katchup and next ten ingredients in a deep bowl to make a marinade. Add Ribs, cover bowl and chill for 18 to 24 hours. Turn ribs occasionally. Lift out ribs drain well. Save marinade. Dip ribs in flour to thoroughly coat them. Heat oil in a large skillet and medium heat, brown meat on all sides. Put in a crock pot and add reserved marinade. Cook for 8 to 9 hours on low setting.
