Shredded Beef With Pepper And Onion

Ingredients:

   7      Ounces        beef -- shredded
   1      Cup           Green Pepper -- shredded
   1      Cup           onion
   2      Teaspoons     sesame oil
   1      Tablespoon    saki
   1      Teaspoon      cornstarch
     1/4  Teaspoon      baking soda
   1      Tablespoon    soy sauce
     1/4  Teaspoon      sugar
     1/2  Teaspoon      chili paste -- optional
 

Preparation:

Sprinkle beef with sesame oil, saki, cornstarch, baking soda, soy sauce, and sugar. Marinade 30 minutes. Heat 3 Tablespoons oil in pan and add 3/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in onion and stir fry for 2 minutes. Remove from pan. If you are using a wok, push onions up on the sides. Add pepper and stir fry 2 minutes and remove from pan or push up again on the sides. Heat 3 Tablespoons oil in same pan and add beef. Stir fry until the color changes. Add vegetables and mix well for 1 minute. Add chili paste. The longer you cook and stir with the chili paste, the hotter it becomes.
