Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 pounds lean ground round sirloin or chuck
  1 pound ground pork
  1 large onion...chopped good
  3 cups water
1 Tablespoon salt...we use less for us...
  1 Tablespoon pepper...I like a little more...

Preparation:

In large pot, all all ingredients and bring to boil....breaking up meat as the mixture boils.. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring and breaking meat. Sking the grease off from the top. To misture add 1 and 1/4 -1 and 1/2 cup regular bread crumbs or Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Mix well. This will make 2 decent sized pies. You can either make your own pie crust or use the ready made ones...it does not matter. Prick pie crust bottom with fork and brush with egg wash.....fill to top with 1/2 of the misture, cover with pie crust top, crimp edges, slash top for venting. Bake at 350 degrees until brown...approx. 1 and 1/2 hours (depending on ovens). You can serve it with beef gravy but it's really great if served with a sauce on the side (catsup and horseradish). They taste better frozen and then used later. On can have a salad, veggie bowl or potatoes or even a stuffing on the side too. It taste good with a little other chopped veggies of your choice in there to
