Grandma Evelyn's Meat Loaf (Different)

Ingredients:

  1 1/2         pounds  ground beef
  1                cup  cooked macaroni or rice
  3        tablespoons  onion -- chopped
  1 1/2      teaspoons  salt
     1/4      teaspoon  pepper
     3/4      teaspoon  sage
  1                cup  milk
                        dill pickles -- sliced lengthwise
 

Preparation:

Mix well (except pickles). Put 1/3 in baking pan, place several slices of dill pickles on it lengthwise, another 1/3 of meat, another pickle layer and remaining 1/3 meat on top. Grease top of loaf. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350. Chill and slice, if desired.
