HERB MARINATED TENDERLOIN

Ingredients:

   1      cup           Burgundy or other dry red wine
   1      small         onion -- chopped
   1      tablespoon    chopped fresh parsley
   1                    bay leaf
     1/2  teaspoon      salt
     1/4  teaspoon      dried whole thyme
     1/2  clove         garlic -- crushed
   2      pounds        tenderloin steak -- (1 1/2 inch thick)
 

Preparation:

Combine first 7 ingredients, mixing well; pour into a large shallow dish. Add steak; cover dish and marinate at least 24 hours in the refrigerator, turning steak occasionally. Remove steak from marinade. Grill 8 to 9 minutes on each side over medium coals or until desired degree of doneness.
