Rum Cream Pie

Ingredients:

  1                 9"  graham crumb crust
  1           Envelope  unflavored gelatin
     1/4            C.  cold water
     1/4            C.  boiling water
  3                     eggs -- separated
     3/4            C.  sugar
  1                 C.  whipped cream (you may cheat and use cool
                        whip or dream whip -- or whip
                        the real stuff) :)
     1/4            C.  rum
     1/2        Square  semi-sweet chocolate shaved. -- (1 oz.)
 

Preparation:

Chill crust. Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 min. Pour boiling water over softened gelatin, stir till dissolved. Beat egg yolk until light and thick. Add sugar, stir in dissolved gelatin. Chill until mixture thickens slightly. Whip cream and fold into gelatin. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into cream mixture. Slowly fold in rum. Chill till thick. Pour into shell. Chill. Spread shaved choc. over filling.
